Split Pricing & Customization
The Split Price model allows you to break your total vacation cost into manageable milestones rather than paying 100% upfront. You secure your booking with a small initial deposit (Milestone 1), and the balance is paid in subsequent installments leading up to your departure.
Absolutely not. Our split payment plan is 100% interest-free. You pay the exact retail price of the package divided into milestones, with zero hidden financing charges.
No credit checks are required. Because this is not a loan but a deferred milestone payment plan tied directly to your travel dates, everyone qualifies automatically.
Cash on Arrival (COA) helps you avoid international credit card markup fees. Certain ground costs (like local driver fees) are structured to be paid directly in cash to your local driver upon arrival at the destination.
Yes! Our dynamic customizer allows you to toggle flights off. The pricing engine will instantly deduct the flight costs from your total, allowing you to use your own air miles or preferred airlines.
Yes, you can toggle off specific hotels in the customizer if you have alternative accommodation plans. The package cost will dynamically adjust to only charge you for the ground transport and tours.
No. Once you lock in your booking with the first milestone payment, your land package price is fully secured against inflation and currency fluctuations.
Yes, if you cancel 96 or more hours before your scheduled flight departure, the full land package (including the initial deposit) is refunded. If you cancel within 96 hours of departure, the entire land package is fully forfeited. Note: flights, TCS, visa fees, and gateway charges follow their own non-refundable terms regardless of timing.
Yes. While the split price model offers flexibility, you always have the option to pay 100% of the invoice upfront at checkout.
Yes, our customizer clearly displays the 5% GST and applicable TCS (Tax Collected at Source) breakdowns before you finalize your checkout.
Payments & Legal Surcharges
You pay a 25% deposit, 100% of flight costs, and applicable taxes upfront. Then, 50% of the remaining land package is due 45 days before departure, and the final balance is due 30 days before departure.
For bookings made less than 30 days prior to departure, the flexible milestones are bypassed, and 100% of the total package cost must be paid upfront.
Yes. Standard debit/credit cards incur a 3.0% gateway charge. RuPay cards incur 3.5%, and premium cards (Bajaj Finserv, Diners Club, JCB, Amex) incur a 5.5% surcharge.
We highly recommend using UPI or direct NetBanking transfers, which typically carry zero or minimal transaction surcharges compared to international credit cards.
Late payments incur a penalty of ₹ 1000 per day. We offer a maximum grace period of 7 days.
Failure to clear dues within the 7-day grace period results in automatic trip cancellation. This leads to a 100% loss of all previously paid amounts, and the file is routed to our legal team.
Yes. Under the Income Tax Act, 1961, TCS is mandatory for all international overseas tour packages. You can claim this TCS amount as credit when filing your annual ITR.
No, the 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) submitted to the government is strictly non-refundable under all cancellation scenarios.
All approved refunds are processed and credited back to your original payment source within 21 business days, subject to banking clearance timelines.
Yes, but depositing cash directly into our bank account via a teller or deposit machine incurs an additional 1.5% surcharge. We recommend digital transfers instead.
Cancellations & Refunds
Our cancellation policy (P2-01) is binary and based on hours before your scheduled flight departure. If you cancel 96 hours (4 days) or more before your flight, you receive a 100% full refund of the land package. If you cancel within 96 hours of departure, the entire land package is fully forfeited with zero refund. Flights are governed by the airline's own policy. TCS, visa fees, and payment gateway fees are always non-refundable.
Cancelling within 96 hours of your flight departure results in a 100% forfeiture of the land package. No land refund is issued. Flight ticket costs are subject to the airline's own cancellation policy. TCS remains credited to your PAN for ITR filing.
Yes. If you cancel 96 hours (4 days) or more before your scheduled flight departure, you receive a 100% full refund of the land package — no penalties apply. This is our industry-first full-refund guarantee.
A No-Show at the departure airport is treated as a last-minute cancellation and results in a strict 100% trip loss with zero refunds.
No. In the event of a macro-emergency (lockdown or calamity), cash refunds are absolutely not possible. However, we provide free emergency rescheduling to protect your funds.
If your visa is rejected under non-negligent grounds, our Visa Denial Cover refunds your visa fees. However, standard cancellation policies still apply to your flights and land package.
Once the package is locked and operations have begun booking your ground services, individual micro-cancellations (like skipping a specific tour) are generally non-refundable.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to our official support desk to maintain a verifiable timestamp of your request.
No. Any applied promo codes, vouchers, or extra discounts hold zero cash value and are entirely non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
Unlike group-coach tours that require minimum capacities, your custom BalmyTrip package is private. We never cancel your trip due to other travelers' actions.
No. Late payment fees are charged as an administrative penalty for delayed installment payments and are non-refundable regardless of when you cancel — even if you cancel within the 96-hour full-refund window. They are deducted from your refund amount.
Most add-ons are refundable within the 96-hour policy window. However, certain experiences — such as timed-entry venues, limited-capacity tours, and slot-based activities — require advance booking and carry strict non-refundable terms from the vendor. You will be clearly informed and asked to explicitly consent before any non-refundable add-on is added to your package. Once consented, that add-on cost is deducted from your refund regardless of when you cancel.
Trip Rescheduling Policy
Emergency free rescheduling is triggered only by macro-infrastructure deadlocks: a complete government-mandated travel lockdown or a severe national calamity preventing all transport.
Yes. You can reschedule for personal choices or partial lockdowns by utilizing our Self-Initiated Rescheduling track. Eligibility and fees are based on your hours before departure.
If you request rescheduling 96+ hours before departure: no rescheduling fee applies (you can also cancel for a full refund instead). Between 48–96 hours before departure: an Emergency Reschedule fee equal to the hotel accommodation cost applies. Within 48 hours before departure: rescheduling is completely blocked. No rescheduling is possible.
If you face a sudden medical emergency, you can reschedule by submitting a verified Medical Validation Bundle (doctor's certificate, lab reports) at least 96 hours before departure. Tiered fees still apply.
Yes. Trip rescheduling is strictly prohibited during our Peak Season Blackout period, which runs from December 20th to January 10th.
Yes. Mandatory eligibility requires 100% clearance of your original trip charges before any new dates can be blocked or confirmed.
Trip rescheduling is a strict one-time exception. Any future modifications to an already rescheduled itinerary will result in a 100% trip loss.
Yes. While seasonal tiers must match ideally, if you upgrade your travel dates to a higher-cost season, you must pay the fair difference in the land package.
No. Airlines are third-party entities. We strictly follow the airline's specific penalty rules. You are responsible for airline date-change penalties and fare differences. Note: airline disruptions do not alter BalmyTrip's own cancellation or rescheduling policy windows — your land package policy is tied to your original departure date.
Yes. The medical rescheduling applies strictly to the affected individual. If accompanying travelers choose to postpone alongside them, their files incur standard voluntary fees.
Hotels & Accommodation
For most hotels — yes. Your room is reserved in our partner network from day one of your booking. For certain premium or peak-season properties that require advance payment, BalmyTrip finalises the booking 96 hours before your departure (once your travel is confirmed). This is how our free cancellation policy works: paying in advance would create a non-refundable hotel cost — and if you cancelled, we would have no choice but to deduct it from your refund. We don't think that's fair, so we wait until your travel is confirmed. In the very rare event your selected hotel is at capacity at that 96-hour point, we will immediately offer an equivalent or better-rated alternative for your approval at no extra cost. If no suitable alternative is accepted, a full refund is processed.
Many international hotels require a fully refundable security deposit at check-in (via credit card hold or cash) to cover incidental expenses like room service.
Visa Denial Protection
It is an industry-first zero-cost protection guarantee. If your tourist visa is officially rejected by the embassy under eligible grounds, we provide a 100% full refund of your core visa fees.
Zero. Unlike competitors who charge upfront insurance premiums for this protection, BalmyTrip provides this cover automatically at ₹0 premium for eligible destinations.
No. The cover strictly refunds the core visa fee. Ancillary costs like travel, outstation hotel stays, notary fees, and courier logistics are explicitly excluded.
No. If a destination requires travel insurance (e.g. Schengen), the insurance premium is non-refundable once the policy is issued, regardless of the visa outcome.
Approved grounds include sovereign decisions beyond your control: lack of travel history, demographic profiling by the embassy, sudden policy changes, or SIS health alerts.
Absolutely not. Claims are strictly rejected for applicant negligence, including forged documents, dummy hotel/flight tickets, unverified tax returns, or 'window dressing' bank accounts.
You must successfully submit your complete claim (via portal or email) at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure. Retroactive claims are not accepted.
You must submit the Official Visa Rejection Letter from the embassy and a copy of your passport. For countries that email rejections (like Japan/China), full screenshots of the email are required.
No. This policy applies exclusively to short-term Tourist Visas processed through our platform.
Yes. By accepting the 100% refund, you agree to a non-disparagement clause. Posting retaliatory public reviews after receiving the refund is an abuse of the policy and violates the terms.
General Visa & Immigration
Standard eVisa approvals typically take 3 to 5 working days, depending on the destination country's current immigration backlog.
You can securely upload your passport photo directly into our dashboard's passport reader, which auto-extracts your data and seamlessly submits it to the portal.
Your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond your intended date of entry into the destination country, and have at least two blank pages.
It depends on the destination. Many eVisa countries (like Vietnam or Bali) do not require physical biometrics. Countries like Japan or Schengen states will require an in-person appointment.
BalmyTrip prepares your comprehensive visa dossier, including confirmed flight itineraries, hotel vouchers, and day-by-day travel plans required by the embassy.
No travel agency can guarantee a sovereign visa approval. The final decision rests entirely with the immigration officers of the destination country.
Window dressing is the act of suddenly depositing massive, unexplained lumps of cash into a bank account right before applying for a visa. Embassies easily detect this and will reject the visa.
For stronger passport countries (like Japan or Europe), e-verified Income Tax Returns for the last 2-3 years are mandatory to prove your financial ties to India.
A dummy ticket is a fake or temporarily held flight reservation that gets cancelled automatically. We strictly advise against them as embassies check PNRs and reject visas for fraudulent tickets.
Standard visa processing delays are excluded from our Visa Denial Cover. If your visa is delayed, you must utilize the Trip Rescheduling Policy to push your travel dates.
Flight Management
By default, our customizer includes optimized flight routes. However, you have the total freedom to toggle them off if you wish to arrange your own air travel.
Yes, our dashboard allows you to select from multiple carrier options, optimizing for the best balance of layovers, baggage allowances, and pricing.
Standard cabin baggage (usually 7kg) is included. Check-in baggage limits vary strictly by airline and are clearly displayed during your flight selection process.
Once your flights are ticketed, we provide you with the airline PNR. You can log directly into the airline's website to purchase specific seats or meals.
Airlines are responsible for their own schedules — BalmyTrip has no control over airline operations. BalmyTrip's cancellation and rescheduling policy windows are based on your originally scheduled trip departure date and are completely independent of the airline's schedule. A flight delay or cancellation by the airline does NOT reset or extend BalmyTrip's 96-hour policy window. Please contact the airline directly for disruption compensation and refer to your travel insurance for coverage of consequential losses. BalmyTrip will adjust your airport pickup times for delays but cannot modify the land package policy on account of airline scheduling.
Yes! If you wish to fly Business or First Class, simply contact your dedicated travel expert after checkout to pay the fare difference for an upgrade.
Flight tickets are generated and uploaded to your dashboard immediately upon clearance of your upfront booking payment (Milestone 1).
Name corrections are strictly governed by airline policies and usually incur heavy penalties. Always ensure your name matches your passport exactly during checkout.
Yes, we strongly recommend completing the mandatory web check-in on the airline's official portal 24 to 48 hours prior to your flight to secure your boarding passes.
Yes, all BalmyTrip packages include seamless private airport pick-up and drop-off at your destination to ensure a stress-free arrival.
Accommodations & Transfers
Globally, standard hotel check-in is at 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM. Early check-in is strictly subject to hotel availability.
Yes, we curate properties based on strict internal quality checks and aggregate global guest reviews, ensuring you stay in verified 4-star and 5-star properties.
Yes. You can submit bed preferences via your dashboard. While we relay these requests to the hotel, bed configurations are subject to availability upon arrival.
Many international hotels require a fully refundable security deposit at check-in (via credit card hold or cash) to cover incidental expenses like room service.
Yes, unless explicitly stated otherwise in your customizer, daily breakfast is included in all our curated hotel reservations.
We utilize modern, air-conditioned sedans or SUVs for private transfers, sized appropriately for your group and luggage requirements.
Drivers are contracted for the specific hours and routes outlined in your itinerary (typically 8-10 hours a day). After-hours use may incur direct local overtime charges.
Your final travel documents include emergency contact numbers for our local ground handlers and the driver, ensuring you connect smoothly at the arrivals hall.
No. Hotels are pre-paid and locked in. Voluntary changes upon arrival are considered new bookings, and the original hotel will not issue a refund.
Certain municipalities levy minor local 'City Taxes' or 'Tourism Fees' that must be paid directly to the hotel reception by law. These are usually a few dollars per night.
Tour Operations & Experiences
Unless specifically marked as a 'Join-in' or 'Shared' excursion (like large boat cruises), the majority of our curated ground tours are strictly private for your group.
Yes, the entry tickets for all attractions explicitly listed in your finalized itinerary are fully covered in your package cost.
Slight timing adjustments can be coordinated directly with your driver. However, skipping pre-booked attractions is non-refundable, and adding new distant locations will incur extra charges.
Our local driver-guides possess functional English proficiency to ensure smooth communication, alongside their native language expertise.
For weather-dependent activities (like scuba diving or island hopping), local operators prioritize safety. If cancelled, they will attempt to reschedule or process a refund for that specific activity.
While tipping is not legally mandatory, it is a customary practice in the travel industry to tip drivers and guides for excellent service at the end of the trip.
Meals are only included if explicitly stated in the itinerary (e.g., a 'Buffet Lunch' during a volcano tour). Otherwise, your driver will recommend great local restaurants for you to choose from.
Yes! Please inform your travel expert of any strict dietary requirements post-booking. We will notify hotels and recommend appropriate dining options during your tours.
Our standard itineraries are leisurely. However, specific activities (like trekking Mount Batur) require moderate physical fitness. Please review activity descriptions carefully.
Most cultural sites require modest dress. Shoulders and knees must be covered. In places like Bali, a traditional sarong (often provided at the entrance) is mandatory.

BalmyBits Rewards & Referral Program
BalmyBits are BalmyTrip's exclusive loyalty currency that you earn by booking trips, referring friends, writing reviews, and more. Unlike traditional OTA reward points and travel loyalty programmes that offer limited redemption options, BalmyBits have a simple 1:1 value — 1 BalmyBit equals ₹1 — and can be redeemed directly as a discount on your next BalmyTrip booking.
1 BalmyBit is worth exactly ₹1 (one Indian Rupee). There are no complex conversion rates or point tiers to calculate — what you earn is what you save. This transparent 1:1 conversion makes BalmyTrip's loyalty programme one of the simplest among Indian and global online travel agency (OTA) reward programmes.
No. BalmyBits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or gifted to another user. They are tied exclusively to your BalmyTrip account and can only be redeemed as a discount on eligible bookings made through your account.
You can view your live BalmyBits balance, full transaction history, and expiry timeline on your BalmyTrip Rewards Hub dashboard after logging in. The dashboard shows every credit, debit, and the source of each transaction (referral, trip completion, review, etc.).
Yes, BalmyBits expire 36 months (3 years) from the date they were earned. Each transaction has its own expiry date, so BalmyBits earned at different times expire independently. This is significantly more generous than most online travel agency loyalty programmes, where rewards typically expire within 6-12 months.
Yes. BalmyTrip sends automated email reminders at 30 days and 7 days before any BalmyBits are about to expire, giving you ample time to plan a trip and use them. These notifications are sent from marketing@mail.balmytrip.com.
You can earn BalmyBits through 9+ actions: sign-up bonus (50 bits), profile completion (50 bits), trip completion (100 bits + booking percentage), referrals (500–1,500 bits), Google review claim (200 bits), UI/UX feedback (100 bits), guide attribution (250 bits), bug reports (500–5,000 bits), and birthday/anniversary bonuses (100 bits each). This makes BalmyTrip's earning ecosystem significantly richer than standard OTA loyalty programmes in India.
New users receive 50 BalmyBits automatically upon completing OTP verification during sign-up. This welcome bonus is credited instantly to your wallet — no booking required. It's BalmyTrip's way of rewarding you just for joining the platform.
You earn an additional 50 BalmyBits when you complete your profile by adding your full name, phone number, and other details. This is a one-time bonus credited automatically when your profile reaches completion.
You earn 100 BalmyBits as a flat bonus when your booked trip is marked as completed. This happens automatically after your trip end date. Importantly, BalmyBits are NEVER credited at booking time — only after the trip is successfully completed.
In addition to the flat 100-bit trip completion bonus, you earn a percentage of your booking value as BalmyBits based on your referral tier: Silver earns 1%, Gold earns 1.25%, and Platinum earns 1.5%. For example, on a ₹1,00,000 Bali package, a Silver member earns 1,000 BalmyBits (= ₹1,000 discount on the next trip), capped at 2,000 BalmyBits per booking.
Yes. The booking percentage earning is capped at 2,000 BalmyBits per individual booking. This means even on a ₹5,00,000 luxury package, the maximum percentage earning is 2,000 bits. The flat trip completion bonus of 100 bits is separate and not subject to this cap.
After completing a trip, you can claim 200 BalmyBits by submitting a genuine Google review for BalmyTrip. This is a one-time reward per user. Your review must be verified by our team before the BalmyBits are credited.
If you spot a design issue, suggest an improvement, or provide constructive feedback about the BalmyTrip website or app, you can earn 100 BalmyBits per approved submission. Your BalmyTrip account must be at least 7 days old to be eligible to submit UI/UX feedback. There is a maximum of 2 approved feedback rewards per user per month. Submissions are reviewed and approved by our product team before BalmyBits are credited.
BalmyTrip rewards users who responsibly report technical bugs. Rewards are severity-based: P4 (low) earns 500 bits, P3 (medium) earns 2,000 bits, P2 (high) earns 3,500 bits, and P1 (critical) earns 5,000 BalmyBits. Reports can be submitted to cybersecurity@balmytrip.com. All reports are reviewed by BalmyTrip's security team before rewards are credited. Visit our Bug Bounty & Customer Feedback page at /legal/bug-bounty for full rules and scope.
BalmyTrip credits 100 BalmyBits on your birthday and 100 BalmyBits on your account anniversary each year. These are auto-credited via our daily rewards engine. You must have your date of birth saved in your profile to receive birthday bonuses.
If another user books a trip after a genuine conversation with you on BalmyTrip's platform (e.g., trip advice), you can earn 250 BalmyBits through guide attribution. The system requires a real chat interaction between different users to prevent abuse.
BalmyTrip's referral program is one of the most rewarding in Indian travel. You share your unique referral code, your friend signs up and completes a trip, and both of you earn BalmyBits. Unlike flat discount coupons or limited referral credits offered by most online travel agencies, BalmyTrip offers tiered rewards from 500 to 1,500 BalmyBits per referral — with no upper limit on the number of people you can refer.
Your unique referral code is automatically generated when you create an account. It follows the format BT-{NAME}-{4digits} (e.g., BT-AMI-8627). You can find it on your Rewards Hub dashboard and share it via WhatsApp, email, or social media using the built-in share buttons.
Your referral tier is determined by the number of successful referrals (completed trips, not just sign-ups). Silver: 1–3 referrals, Gold: 4–6 referrals, Platinum: 7+ referrals. Higher tiers unlock better earning rates on your own bookings and larger per-referral rewards.
The referrer earns BalmyBits based on their tier: Silver tier earns 500 BalmyBits, Gold tier earns 1,000 BalmyBits, and Platinum tier earns 1,500 BalmyBits per successful referral. The reward is credited only when the referred friend's trip is completed — not at booking time.
The referred friend (new user) earns a 250 BalmyBits welcome bonus when they complete their first trip booked with BalmyTrip. This is in addition to all other earnings (trip completion bonus and booking percentage) — a referred user can earn 350+ BalmyBits from their first trip alone.
Referral BalmyBits are ONLY credited upon trip completion, not at booking time. This is a deliberate fraud prevention measure — if the referred friend cancels their booking before the trip, no referral reward is issued. This protects the integrity of the programme.
No. Self-referral is strictly prohibited and technically blocked. If you enter your own referral code at checkout, the system will reject it with the message 'Cannot use your own referral code.' Multiple accounts created by the same person are also detected and blocked.
There is no limit on the number of people you can refer. However, your total BalmyBits earnings across all channels (including referrals) are subject to the annual cap of ₹19,999 per financial year (April–March). Within this cap, you can refer as many friends as you like.
During checkout, if you have BalmyBits in your wallet, a 'Use BalmyBits' toggle appears. Enable it and enter the amount you wish to redeem. The discount is applied instantly to your booking total before GST calculation. The process is seamless and integrated directly into the checkout flow.
You need a minimum of 100 BalmyBits (= ₹100) to redeem. This ensures meaningful discounts while keeping the system efficient. Balances below 100 bits continue accumulating until they reach the minimum threshold.
The maximum redemption per booking is capped at 10,000 BalmyBits (= ₹10,000) or 75% of the booking value, whichever is lower. For example, on a ₹50,000 package, you can redeem up to 10,000 bits (since 75% of ₹50,000 = ₹37,500, and the 10,000 cap applies first).
BalmyBits can only be redeemed on bookings worth ₹10,000 or more. This minimum ensures that the rewards are used on genuine travel bookings rather than micro-transactions.
Yes! BalmyBits can be stacked with active promotional offers. If BalmyTrip is running a seasonal discount or festival offer, your BalmyBits discount is applied on top of the promotional price, giving you double savings.
BalmyBits are redeemable only on the base land package value of your booking. They cannot be applied to standalone flight bookings, visa processing fees, travel insurance, SIM cards, or other add-on services purchased separately.
If you customize your package after applying BalmyBits and the new total falls below the redemption rules (e.g., below ₹10,000 or the BalmyBits exceed 75% of the new total), the redemption will be automatically adjusted or removed. You'll be prompted to re-apply BalmyBits at checkout.
The maximum BalmyBits you can earn in a single financial year is capped at 19,999 (= ₹19,999). This cap exists to comply with Indian tax regulations under Section 194R, ensuring that rewards remain classified as discount coupons rather than taxable income. The financial year runs from April 1 to March 31.
For BalmyBits, the financial year follows the Indian standard: April 1 to March 31. All earning caps and annual limits reset on April 1 each year. For example, FY 2026-27 runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
To maintain programme sustainability, BalmyTrip allocates 50 rewards slots per calendar month for trip-completion-based percentage earnings. Once all 50 slots are filled in a month, the flat trip completion bonus (100 bits) is still credited, but percentage-based earnings roll over to the next month.
If all 50 monthly slots are filled, you still receive the 100 BalmyBits flat trip completion bonus. However, the booking percentage earning for your trip will be queued for the next available month. You don't lose anything — it's deferred, not denied.
Each user is allocated one slot per month. If you complete multiple trips in the same month, the first trip gets the full slot (percentage earning), while additional trips receive only the flat 100-bit completion bonus.
If you cancel a booking, ALL BalmyBits earned from that booking are clawed back (reversed). This includes the trip completion bonus, booking percentage earnings, and any referral rewards credited to the referrer. Your cash refund follows the standard cancellation policy separately.
Yes. If you redeemed BalmyBits as a discount and subsequently cancel the booking, the redeemed BalmyBits are fully returned to your wallet. Your cash refund is calculated on the amount you actually paid (after the BalmyBits discount was applied).
Yes. Referral rewards are clawed back if the referred friend's trip is cancelled. Since referral BalmyBits are only credited upon trip completion, this scenario typically only occurs if the trip status is reversed after completion. The system ensures no rewards are issued for trips that don't happen.
Your tier is based on your completed referral count at the time each reward is processed. The referral that pushes you into a new tier still earns the old tier's rate. Example: Your 4th referral moves you from Silver to Gold, but that 4th referral earns the Silver rate (500 BalmyBits). From your 5th referral onwards, you earn the Gold rate (1,000 BalmyBits).
If BalmyBits are clawed back due to a cancellation and you had already redeemed those bits on another booking, your wallet balance may go negative. You must earn enough new BalmyBits to bring the balance back to zero before you can redeem again. BalmyTrip will send you a notification explaining the clawback and resulting balance.
Rescheduling a trip does not affect your earned or redeemed BalmyBits in any way. The booking retains its original status, and your BalmyBits remain in your wallet unchanged. If the rescheduled trip completes successfully, your trip-completion BalmyBits are credited on the new completion date.
A referred user earns from multiple sources on their first trip: 50 BalmyBits on sign-up (standard welcome bonus for all users), 250 BalmyBits referred-user welcome bonus on first trip completion, and 100 BalmyBits flat trip completion bonus — a total of 400+ BalmyBits from their very first trip alone.
No. BalmyBits are classified as discount coupons under BalmyTrip's terms, not as income, gifts, or prizes. The annual cap of ₹19,999 per financial year ensures that rewards stay below the threshold that would trigger TDS obligations under Section 194R of the Income Tax Act.
GST (5% for tour packages) is calculated on the net amount AFTER the BalmyBits discount is applied. For example, if your package costs ₹50,000 and you redeem 5,000 BalmyBits, GST is charged on ₹45,000. Similarly, TCS is calculated on the final payable amount.
BalmyTrip monitors for fraudulent activity including self-referral attempts, multiple account creation, bot-generated sign-ups, fake reviews, and coordinated abuse. Accounts found violating the fair use policy may have BalmyBits forfeited, accounts suspended, or future earning privileges revoked. All decisions are final and at BalmyTrip's sole discretion.
