Flight Terms & Conditions​

Domestic & International Flight Booking Terms & Conditions:

BalmyTrip is the sole authority for interpretation of all the below mentioned terms and conditions.

BalmyTrip reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and liability and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary all these terms and conditions.

Definitions:

  • BalmyTrip means BalmyTrip Holidays Private Limited
  • The terms “we“, “us” and “our” refer to BalmyTrip Holidays Private Limited
  • The term “you”, “client”, “customer”, “guest”, “user” and “your” refers to the customer visiting our website or making an offline reservation.
  • Moreover, for the purposes of these terms and conditions the following words or phrases have the meaning shown below, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
  • “Booking”: any order for products or services you make on our website or offline reservation which is confirmed or accepted by us. Acceptance will be made by us (and a contract concluded) when we have received full payment from you and sent a confirmation email (from either us or the relevant Travel Supplier).
  • “Customer” or “Client” or “Guest”: The person who makes a Booking or the person on whose behalf the services provided by us have been agreed and who has accepted that condition.
  • “Service(s)”: a service offered by our website, such as a booking of transport services.
  • “Convenience fee”: means the portion of your total cost of the service rendered to you on behalf of us as indicated in the confirmation page and email that covers the services provided by us.
  • “Booking Agent” or “Travel Agent”: The online travel agency that manages and operates the website balmytrip.com, who during its business provides advice and information and acts as an intermediary in the process of realizing agreements in the field of travel.
  • We as Travel Agent and our website act as an interface in the transactions involved with the Travel Supplier.
  • “Website”: means the http://www.balmytrip.com website.

General Terms:

The total airfare amount provided by BalmyTrip either on the website or offline is inclusive of all applicable government taxes, convenience fee, payment gateway charges, FX charges.

You must pay the total cost of the air ticket to receive the confirmation of your international air ticket booking.

By accepting our booking terms, user is also agreeing to terms & conditions of the respective airline.

Friends and Family Special Fares are applicable only on both Domestic and International sectors.

Minimum 2 passengers will be required in the PNR after cancellation in case booked under family fare.

Special Fares are applicable for minimum two and maximum nine passengers in one booking.

Special Fares are not applicable on group bookings.

We recommend you refer to the airline terms & conditions before making a booking.

There will be no refund for ‘no-shows’ or any partially unused flights.

All international and domestic air tickets issued to the passenger shall additionally be governed under the terms & conditions of the respective airline you have booked your air tickets with.

By accepting our booking terms, you agree to terms & conditions of the respective airline you are booking the air ticket with.

In case of increase in the fare in the issuance of the Air ticket, due to airlines, miscalculation in amount due to server error and from the bank’s payment gateway issue, BalmyTrip reserves the right to cancel the ticket and forfeit the amount received as Cancellation Charges. The fare difference must be paid to BalmyTrip.

BalmyTrip is not responsible for any damage, loss or injury made during the holiday. You are accountable for your own safety measures.

BalmyTrip is not accountable for any human error that gone unnoticed by the clients and our staffs.

Please ensure that the name entered in the traveller’s detail page is exactly as per the passport.

Amendment/change in passenger name after the booking is confirmed is not permitted.

On-board meals and special services are on request basis only. They are subject to the respective airline terms and conditions.

You must contact the airline directly for any information on your Frequent Flyer miles or promotion/tie-ups by the airline.

We recommend all the passengers booking their international flight to ensure that they have relevant visa, transit visa (if applicable), immigration clearance and other relevant documents of the visiting and transiting countries.

Do check that your passport has a validity of at least 6 months of validity and at least one blank page as on the date of travel from India. This is mandatory for international flights.

BalmyTrip will charge a convenience fee for availing our services. We reserve the right to alter any kinds of transaction fees from time to time, without any prior notice. The passenger shall be liable to pay all applicable charges, fees and taxes.

BalmyTrip charges a non-refundable convenience fee from 0 to 5,000 Rupees per passenger for one-way domestic or international flight from 0 to 15,000 Rupees per passenger for round trip flights. This is over and above the total air-ticket cost.

BalmyTrip reserves the right to cancel any flight booking made by any client using a promotional offer for business purpose without prior notice. Our promotional offers are only valid for reservations booked for personal travel.

BalmyTrip is not responsible for any change in the flight schedule made by the airline after the issuance of your international or domestic air ticket. However, we will inform you of the changed schedule of your flight, if we get the information from the airline. We recommend that you to reconfirm your flight schedule 24 hours prior to your flight departure with the airline directly.

Check-in Terms:

As per the standard airline rules, check-in time for international flight begins 3 hours and 2 hours for domestic flights prior to the scheduled departure of the flight.

We recommend passengers to carry appropriate travel permission documents (valid passport, any domestic valid ID like Aadhar, PAN Card, Voter ID, immigration clearance, visa, etc) while checking-in at the airport. BalmyTrip is not responsible for any issues related to documentations.

Infants must have valid proof-of-age documents showing that the infant is under two years old.

Additional payment may be charged by the airline for seat allocations.

Infant and Unaccompanied Minors Air-Fare Terms:

Infants must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years of age.

To benefit from the infant fares offered by airlines, an infant must be under 24 months of age throughout the entire journey including onward and return flights. If the infant is above 24 months of age during the return journey, you will have to make a separate booking using a child fare.

Infants must have valid documents as proof-of-age showing that the infant is less than two years old.

Unaccompanied Minors are children above 5 and under 12 years of age travelling alone (the age depends on the airline’s policies, so please check with the airline).

Amendment Policy:

Every booking made on BalmyTrip is subject to amendment charges levied by the airline, which may vary by flight and booking class. The charges levied by Airlines are Non-Refundable in case of cancellation post amendment.

Some booked fares may not be amended depending on the airline’s policy.

If you wish to amend / alter / modify or change your booking, you will be charged the difference in fare, if any, applicable when the amendment is made. However, if the amended fare is lower than the earlier booked fare, difference in the amount will not be refunded, but the re-booking charges will be collected on the time of making the amendment.

All bookings made through us, can also be amended by calling up the Airline Call Centre directly.

Apart from the airline’s amendment fee, BalmyTrip charges an additional amendment processing fee of Rs 2500 per passenger and per sector for both domestic and international airlines.

Cancellation policy:

Every international or domestic air ticket booked on BalmyTrip is subject to cancellation charges levied by the respective airline, which may vary with airline, flight route and booking class.

BalmyTrip is not responsible for any delay or cancellation or amendment of flights from airline’s end.

Some international air fares booked may be non-refundable as per the respective airline policy.

Convenience fee is non-refundable in case of ticket cancellation by the user, or flight cancellation by the airline.

BalmyTrip will levy Rs 2500 per passenger and per sector for international flight ticket cancellation. This fee will be over and above the cancellation fee levied by the airline.

There will be no-refund for ‘no-show’ or any partially unused flights.

For e-tickets, if your cancellation request is made less than 3 hours before departure, you’ll need to contact the airline directly to get your reservation cancelled.

If you have done a ‘Web/Tele Check-in’ with the airline, you must get in touch with the airline for cancellation. BalmyTrip will not be able to process the refund for the same and will not take any responsibility for the same.

For any cancellation made by you for which refund is already processed and if it is found that you have used/made changes to the ticket on the same PNR directly with the airline, BalmyTrip reserves the right to debit your original mode of payment against the amount which has been refunded to you.

In some circumstances, and in addition to the billing and payment information you provide, we may require you to produce some proof of your identity. This can be requested at the time of booking, during payment processing or at any other time thereafter. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if you do not provide such proof of identity when requested with no liability whatsoever.

BalmyTrip reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time for security or fraud-protection purposes. This is generally due to our security-protection and fraud-detection processes reporting a problem with the payment card submitted e-mail address used for booking etc. In such circumstances we may cancel your booking with no liability whatsoever. An email informing you about the cancellation will be sent to the email address you provided at the time of booking.

Refund Policy:

You must contact BalmyTrip for your international or domestic air ticket refund for bookings made as the respective airline will not be able to process your refund.

In an event where airlines go bankrupt or file insolvency in court. BalmyTrip under any situations or circumstances will not be held responsible for any monitory loses clients suffered due to airline being insolvent. BalmyTrip under this situation will not file any legal cases against the insolvent airline on behalf of the client. Client must directly intervene with the airline company for refunds or compensations.

The customers or agent shall not hold the BalmyTrip liable to pay the refunds as assured at the time of booking of ticket in cases where the Airlines/Hotel closes its operation or declares itself as insolvent.

You must inform BalmyTrip for cancellations made directly with the airline. You can do that by either email or phone within 04 hours of the cancellation with valid documentations to initiate the refund process.

BalmyTrip shall be able to process customer refunds against flight tickets only if the same have been refunded by the respective airline.

There will be no refund for ‘no shows’ or any partially unused flights.

There will be no refunds if your Visa is rejected by respective Embassies and/or Consulates or visa processing agencies.

If you need a refund for paper tickets, please send them back to us. Your tickets must reach us within 48 hours of the time of cancellation so that we can get them endorsed by the airline for you.

If your paper ticket gets lost or damaged, the airline will not be able to process a refund request.

No refunds will be made on the ‘Non-refundable’ fares.

Convenience fee of Rs 0 to 5,000 for one-way international and domestic flight and 0 to 15,000 rupees for roundtrip international or domestic flights, paid at the time of booking is a nonrefundable fee and same shall be applicable on all cancellations including any partial cancellation requests.

Processing time for cancellations and refund requests may vary. The average refund process takes between 2 to 180 working days. Once BalmyTrip receives refund from airlines, the refund amount can further take additional 3-15 working days to reflect in your account.

For partially utilized flight tickets (One sector flown and other sector cancelled), the refund will take anytime between 2 to 180 working days depending on the airline.

If the international flight ticket is cancelled directly with the airline, the refund process will take anytime between 2 to 180 working days depending on the airline processing time.

Promo code discount and other discounts provided at the time of bookings will be deducted from the refund amount.

The refund amount will be credited back to the same account from where the booking was confirmed.

The on-board meal amount is non-refundable. However, in case the flight is cancelled by the respective airline the amount will be refunded.

In case, the airline cancels the flight, full air ticket cost will be refunded to the passenger. This, however, excludes the convenience fee, FX charges, payment gateway fees and other taxes charged by BalmyTrip at the time of booking.

Baggage Policy:

Baggage allowance and policies differ by airline. For this reason, you should check baggage policy directly with the airline you are flying with.

Few LCC and Full-Service Carriers like Air Asia International, Air Malindo, Batik Air, Malaysian Airlines, Scoot Airlines, VietJet Air do not provide checked in baggage by default in their lowest air fare category.

We recommend you add bags online prior to your travel, as some airlines charge additional fees for adding bags at the airport. You will need the airline booking reference number and email address that was used to make the booking. You can find out if your booked flight includes luggage, you may check the flight Information in the email you received after booking, or in the e-ticket.

Meal Selection Policy:

The meal amount is non-refundable. (Refundable only if the flight is cancelled by the airlines)

The meal would be served only once in case of connecting flights.

The meal option is as per the flight’s menu and availability.

The meal option is allowed only for adults and children (above 2 years of age).

Travel Insurance Policy:

We by default never add travel insurance in all flight bookings made on behalf of the clients. If, Travel Insurance has been accidentally added as part of a booking, and customer wishes to cancel the insurance, BalmyTrip will cancel the insurance with a fee charge if request is made at least 7 days prior to date of journey.

Insurance is only valid for trips emerging from Indian Airport and destination is within India or outside India. Any trip emerging from outside India, insurance is not applicable.

Insurance is only applicable for Indian Nationals between age 0 to 70.

Domestic insurance cancellation charge of Rs. 100 is applicable.

International insurance cancellation charge of Rs. 250 is applicable.

Pregnancy Rules of Airlines:

All airlines recommend the pregnant ladies to consult a doctor before traveling at any point during their pregnancy. BalmyTrip requests all pregnant ladies to read pregnancy rules of the respective airlines before planning their trip.

You are advised to take medical clearance from your healthcare provider or doctor not more than 7 days before your journey stating that you are fit to travel.

You must avoid taking flights if your pregnancy is complicated and risky in nature.

Passport, Visas and Health Requirements & Policy:

It is your responsibility to ensure you follow all passports, visa and other immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary. For this purpose, you should confirm with the competent Embassies

and/or Consulates well in advance of travel whether the destination(s) that you are visiting require a visa.

It is important to remember to include all transit points in your journey since these may also require you to obtain a visa.

International bookings made through BalmyTrip are subject to the requirements of visa including but not limited to transit visa which is to be obtained by the User as per the requirement of their travel bookings and the requirements of the countries the traveller intends to visit or transit through.

Please carry applicable visa for the respective country you are visiting or transiting through.

Please check-out the concerned airline and embassy for concerned Visa requirements.

We do not undertake any responsibility in case you are not allowed to travel due to your noncompliance with any such requirements and we also undertake no responsibility for cases we provided any assistance or advice on this.

It should be noted that the requirements for obtaining visas, transit visas and entry formalities, vary from country to country and are subject to changes without any notice.

For any information needed, you should contact the competent Embassies or Consulates of all countries listed in your itinerary, or/and even the airline and not only the Embassy and the Consulate of the country of your destination, since countries which are stopovers on your flight to your final destination (regardless of whether it is a flight with stopover without changing the airplane or a connecting flight) typically require a transit visa or multiple entry visa.

Disclaimer and No Warranties:

You acknowledge that BalmyTrip is a service provider and not accountable for any 3rd party obligations due to rates, quality, and all other instances. Due to the volatile nature of the aviation industry, airlines delay and default in refund of tickets. BalmyTrip shall only be able to process customer refunds against flight tickets only if the same have been refunded by the respective Airline. In the event an airline discontinues its operations, BalmyTrip will not be accountable for any customer refunds wherein the same have not been refunded by the Airlines.
