Overview

Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Phnom Penh, its capital, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum's historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country's northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival, your will be welcomed by escort tour guide (with sign name) then transfers directly to witness Cheung Ek, known as The Killing Fields, where hundreds of lives were proceeded between 1975 and 1979 under Khmer Rouge. Resume the journey to hotel for check in. Afternoon, heading out to visit the tragic Tuol Sleng museum was a former high school, which was turned to Tortured Prison S-21. Return hotel for break.

Evening, we depart at 4.14pm to get on board and enjoy welcome sunset

cocktail while the cruise boat slides slowly along the Phnom sounds of live traditional Khmer music on the upper-deck. After passing the Royal Palace we will journey to the junction of the Tonle Sap, Mekong, and Bassac rivers. The buffet dinner is started to serve after the sunset, with an all you can eat. Disembark the cruise boat then transfers you back to your hotel. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Breakfast is at hotel. We go out to challenge a cyclo (rickshaw) for interesting highlights of Phnom Penh with Independent monument, resume the ride to central market to see daily life of trading then we ride along the riverside to visit the Royal Palace – is a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residence of the king of Cambodia, Silver Pagoda, Royal Stupas, French style building etc. Enjoy Khmer set lunch by the riverfront at Bopha Titanic restaurant.

Afternoon, continue by car to visit the National Museum; the world’s most important collection of Khmer sculpture and carvings. Stroll around Russian market for shopping and enjoy guided walking tour around Wat Phnom with interesting legendary of founding place of Phnom Penh. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast is at the hotel. Meet our car driver (no guide) at your hotel’s lobby at 9.00am (departure: 9.45am) then transfers you to Giant Ibis bus station for your journey (5.30 hours) to Siem Reap. You will be picked up by our driver (no guide) from the bus station to the hotel. Simply enjoy free time after check in. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Breakfast is at hotel. We depart hotel at 8.00am for full day guided Angkor exploration, start with the south gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces, stroll to explore Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces in stone, admired by interesting temples including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king, terrace of elephant & Ta Prohm temple adorned with the stunning tree roots where Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed. Enjoy delicious set lunch at Triple K air conditioning restaurant.

After lunch, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – the world’s heritage listed by UNESCO in 1992 and the largest monument in the world. Unlock the amazing history, its ancestral incredible, architectural masterpieces and the finest carvings dates back to the Khmer Empire when it dominated the largest parts of Southeast Asia. Sunset at Phnom Bakeng is optional (no charge) but limited entry is subject to availability. Evening, transfer to have buffet dinner followed by Apsara traditional dance performance at our selected restaurant. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Breakfast is at hotel. Journey out at 7.30am, drive beyond Angkor complex to observe wildlife at Angkor Conservation Center Biodiversity (ACCB) at the foot of Kbal Spean hill. It’s where you have a guided tour around the center to discover endangered wildlife such as greater adjutants, gibbons, Malayan Pangolin etc. Continuously, we head to Phnom Kulen; one of Cambodia’s national parks that provides wonderful holiday and a great place to cool off. Phnom Kulen used to be the ancient capital city in 802AD - after King Jayavarman II was initiated as the royal

“God of the King”. Enjoy the guided walking tour to visit Preah Ang Thom - the reclining giant Buddha statue. Continue to witness historical site of 1000 linga carvings under the riverbed, you also have a chance to see the secret pool where the white clear water coming out of the ground all year round. Resume the walking to the beautiful waterfall where we can refresh, bathe and swim. Near the waterfall there are some local huts where we enjoy local lunch & fresh coconut (meal, drinks are at your own account). Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

After breakfast at hotel, we head out to Chong Kneas village’s boat pier. The journey takes approximately 30mins with some highlights of Siem Reap City. Once we arrived the pier, we process to embark a private sheltered boat to explore Tonle Sap Lake; the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and is also an ecological hot spot that was designated as a UNESCO biosphere in 1997. The boat excursion takes us passing floating school, mangroves, floating houses which animated by some fishing activities. Our tour guide will explain you about Tonle Sap ecosystem and witness how life works in the floating community, and we stop to see floating crocodile farm, souvenirs shop if it interests you. Continue to visit the finest Artisan Angkor wood/stone carving centre displaying various defined handicraft products, continue to stroll around old market for shopping. Enjoy Khmer set lunch at Grill

Afternoon, visit Puok Angkor silk farm – observe the silk processing and see a lot of finest silk products displaying. Then transfer directly to airport for your flight departure back home.
